A few things to talk about this week and something new

News Letters are just too Long.

As part of my process of curating and learning, I subscribe to a lot of newsletters and realized that I am guilty as charged of sending long newsletters that most people like me probably never read. So let's make it simple. Here's some interesting stuff with links to longer versions. If the subject is of interest, feel free to follow the link. If not, no problem.

The Hidden Benefits of Journaling

I don't really know why it took me so long to figure this out, but journaling is not just for personal growth. It can have practical benefits for solopreneurs too! By writing down your thoughts and ideas, you can gain clarity and focus, track your progress, generate new ideas, improve your communication skills, and stay motivated. Give it a try!

Shark Hunting

Nothing has changed. People are the same.People read and buy, not search engines, so the key is to find a pool of hungry sharks (aka desperate buyers) with a common interest and feed them.

Free Tools

Not everything costs! Have a look at these free tools

Shiny Object Syndrome

Are you easily distracted by new ideas and neglecting your current tasks? I was the same. Learn how to balance your curiosity with your commitment to existing projects. Prioritize, set clear goals, and review your progress regularly. Having accountability partners or mentors can also help you stay focused and accountable. Embrace your curiosity while staying disciplined and committed to your responsibilities.

Small Steps Big Changes

Atomic habits are small, manageable changes that can transform your life. Atomic habits are the building blocks of success! By focusing on small changes in your daily routine, you can achieve incredible results and improve your overall well-being. Start Small

What Caught My Eye:

Like may I have people I follow on twitter linkedin and other places for example @thedankole. Now when I see a lot of traffic to a entrepreneur who has changed paths from being a dentist in UK to an online writer @ItsKieranDrew who is getting recommendations from Dan Cole I sat up and paid attention…then bought his course. One of the final pieces of the puzzle

As you know I have a lot of respect for Ev Chapman and have bought several of her products ( More pieces of the jigsaw) she has revealed her though process developed as a result How to Take Smart Notes: One Simple Technique to Boost Writing, Learning and Thinking this has been a major eyeopener for me.

What Made Me Think:

A favorite author of mine, Erich von Däniken, is much maligned, but I urge you to read his book; The Gods Never Left Us. The book contends that recent advancements in biotechnology, astrophysics, engineering, and artificial intelligence not only give us a fresh perspective on his ancient astronaut theory but actually validate it. We are, as a race, embarking on the exact same trajectory of our own interplanetary colonisation, just as von Däniken suggested that Earth itself was colonised. Here is a non-affiliate link to a fascinating read.

What Made Me Laugh:

Amazing drummer

As always, I hope you find this newsletter informative and enjoyable.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or thoughts you may have.

Best,
