with Rob James

Hi there

I hope this newsletter finds you well!

As always, I've been keeping an eye on the latest happenings in the world and wanted to share some of my thoughts and observations with you.

How Owning Your Story Can Change Your Life

As humans, we are all storytellers. From the day we are born, we begin crafting narratives about ourselves and the world around us. But what happens when the stories we tell ourselves don't serve us? What happens when we allow others to write our stories for us?

Journaling for creators

Journaling is a powerful tool for personal growth and emotional processing. However, not many people are aware that it can also have practical benefits for solopreneurs.

The myth of note taking is note-taking really necessary? Do you need to take notes to learn effectively?

Imposter syndrome is a common issue that many content creators face. It’s that nagging feeling that you’re not good enough or qualified to be doing what you’re doing. More

Recording and dictation? I DID think the best tool available for writers and entrepreneurs was Obsidian but I’m using Notion more and more. Why

  • Easy to track and accumulate

  • It is a simple data bas

  • Free

You don’t need fancy templates the built in ones are fine

I gather EVERYTHING that could be:

  • An idea

  • A spark

  • A snippet of shark bait with

Then write content hubs….

If you are feeling confident take a look at this tool developed ( free) by Thomas Frank. You can record audio files on your phone save them to dropbox then have AI transcribe and extract important points saving results to Notion

What Caught My Eye:

Reading is not just about reading more; it's about reading better. Learn how to get the most out of your reading with these techniques: selective quitting, different levels of reading, choosing great books, and effective note-taking.

The older I get, the less I understand. So I wasn't at all surprised to read in yesterday's Mail that 89 per cent of us admit to being bemused by today's brave new world on a daily basis. According to a survey of 2,000 people, these are the 20 questions we find most baffling. Sadly, the report provided no answers.

What Made Me Think:

I could be accused of loosing it BUT a Stanford professor?

👽💥 "Aliens have been on Earth and are still here," claims Stanford professor Dr. Garry Nolan. He says experts are working on reverse engineering UFOs that have crash landed. Nolan assigns a 100% probability that aliens have been to our planet, and we've probably seen them before but just didn't know how to process it. What do you think?

What Made Me Laugh:

As always, I hope you find this newsletter informative and enjoyable.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or thoughts you may have.

Best,

Rob James aka The Old Curator
